VIDEO: Fire at Malatia Mall Extinguished

The fire that broke out at the Malatia Mall has been contained. Currently, firefighting operations are underway.

Thirteen fire-fighting teams from the Emergency Situations Ministry's Fire Rescue Unit in Yerevan, two aerial platforms, a rapid response group from the National Crisis Management Center, one special vehicle from the gas protection service, and two KamAZ vehicles from the Armenian-Russian Humanitarian Response Center are participating in the firefighting efforts.

It is important to note that seven injured individuals were transported to Astghik Medical Center and Armenia Medical Center, where they received appropriate medical care and have since been discharged.

Nineteen fire-fighting teams, two aerial platforms, a rescue task force from the Special Rescue Operations Center, rapid response and operational groups from the National Crisis Management Center, as well as the on-call team from the Disaster Medicine Center, including a psychological consultant from the psychological support department (a total of 434 rescuers), have been engaged in the firefighting efforts. The city administration has provided water tender vehicles.

It has also been confirmed that the fire has now been extinguished.
