Moody's Raises Armenia's Sovereign Rating
I am pleased to announce that the international rating agency Moody's has upgraded Armenia's sovereign rating from "B1" to "Ba3." This was stated today, August 27, on the Facebook page of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
The decision is based on Moody's assessment that the increasing diversification of economic growth in Armenia, combined with the long-standing macroeconomic stability, enhances the country's economic resilience.
Moody's noted in its statement that Armenia's real GDP growth will remain strong in the medium term. The development of the IT sector in Armenia has been particularly emphasized, as it is primarily focused on high-tech research and development, providing a strong foundation for a knowledge-based economy.
This is indeed a significant event that increases international confidence in Armenia's economy and substantially enhances our country's investment attractiveness.
