VIDEO: 16-Year-Old Boy Steals Mobile Phone Near St. Sarkis Church

On August 20, a citizen contacted the police to report that they were assaulted near the St. Sarkis Church in Yerevan, where money and a mobile phone were stolen before the assailant fled the scene.

Acting on the information received at the Central Police Division, officers from the patrol service carried out operational measures and were able to solve the crime ‘hot on the trail.’ On the same day, a 16-year-old youth was apprehended from Mashtots Avenue on suspicion of committing the robbery. He confessed to the crime.

The stolen items have been seized, and an investigation is ongoing.
