Azerbaijan Sends Note of Protest to Bulgaria Over MPs' Visit to Nagorno-Karabakh

In Sofia, the Azerbaijan Embassy has sent a note of protest to the Bulgarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs concerning the visit of Bulgarian MPs Valeri Simeonov and Yordan Apostolov to Nagorno-Karabakh on August 6-7. This was reported by the Trend news agency, citing a statement from Azerbaijan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Azerbaijani foreign ministry stated that Simeonov, known for his pro-Armenian stance, is visiting Nagorno-Karabakh for the third time and is included in Azerbaijan's 'blacklist,' which prohibits him from entering Azerbaijan.

The Azerbaijani foreign ministry also mentioned that Apostolov's visit to Nagorno-Karabakh may lead to similar consequences.

It is worth noting that on August 7, the Bulgarian MPs met with Ashot Ghulyan, the Speaker of the National Assembly of Nagorno-Karabakh, in Stepanakert. The press and public relations department of the National Assembly of Artsakh informed that the guests spoke about the opening ceremony of the Pan-Armenian 7th Summer Games and expressed their willingness to 'support the fraternal Armenian nation in all its initiatives.'
