Boris Johnson to Become New Prime Minister of the United Kingdom

The leader of the Conservative Party of the United Kingdom has been elected as Boris Johnson, the former Foreign Secretary and Mayor of London. This was announced by the ruling party.

Johnson will assume the duties of Prime Minister of the United Kingdom once Theresa May officially resigns from her post.

The official transfer of power will take place tomorrow after May's final question-and-answer session with MPs in Parliament.
