Individual Taxi Drivers Exempt from All Types of Payments and Taxes

Starting from July, all individual taxi drivers will be exempt from all types of payments and taxes. This was announced today by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan at a conference held in Shirak. He emphasized that this also includes monthly payments.

“This means that they are relieved of the obligation to make monthly payments of 12,000 drams in Yerevan and 8,000 drams in the regions,” Pashinyan stated. According to him, taxi drivers will still need to obtain a license, which will also be free of charge.

Pashinyan noted that this initiative is aimed at fostering cooperation: the government is relieving them from taxes while taxis improve their quality to attract more tourists.
