Video: Manvel Grigoryan Brought to Court in Wheelchair

Former Armenian MP and General Manvel Grigoryan was just brought to the Central Court of Yerevan. He had not been presented in court for several sessions due to health issues, according to Armtimes.com.

Today, the court is set to continue the hearings regarding him and his wife, Nazik Amiryan. In response to a journalist's question about how he feels, Grigoryan replied, 'I feel good, write that it's good.'

During the previous session, prosecutors had requested an interdepartmental commission for medical examination for Manvel Grigoryan. According to the indictment, Grigoryan illegally obtained, transferred, and stored firearms, military ammunition, and explosives in three houses owned by him in collusion with his wife Nazik Amiryan, their son Arman Grigoryan, and other unidentified individuals.

He is accused of embezzling property allocated to meet the needs of soldiers and volunteers defending the borders of the Artsakh Republic during the April 2016 four-day war and the following days.

According to the accusation, Nazik Amiryan, in collusion with her husband Manvel Grigoryan, their son Arman Grigoryan, and unidentified individuals, illegally acquired, transferred, and stored firearms, military ammunition, and explosives in their three houses, as well as committing various types of theft.

Grigoryan’s detention was selected as a precautionary measure, while Amiryan was released on a signature not to leave.

The session is available in the video from News.am.
