VIDEO: Car Convoy in Front of Georgia's Ministry of Internal Affairs
Protesters against the government's actions in Georgia are conducting a car convoy in front of the Ministry of Internal Affairs building. Today's meeting of the "Georgian Dream" parliamentary faction took place at the party's office in Tbilisi. Participants included Bidzina Ivanishvili, the party's general secretary Kacha Kaladze, executive secretary Irakli Kobakhidze, Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze, and other government members.
The ruling "Georgian Dream" party has made a concession, announcing its willingness to conduct the parliamentary elections scheduled for 2020 under a proportional electoral system. Under this system, elections are held with party lists, allowing voters to cast their votes for individual parties, which then occupy seats in parliament according to the percentage of votes received.
