Photos: Zoo to Care for Rescued Stork Chicks
The Yerevan Zoo has reported about three stork chicks that have been rescued. It was noted that recently a stork nest in the village of Sardarapat in the Armavir region had fallen. Inside the nest were the mother stork and her three chicks. One of the residents of Sardarapat village alerted the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
The caller was informed that assistance would be provided by a specialized unit, assuring that ministry employees would do their best to be helpful in this case.
As a result, the call was redirected to the Yerevan Zoo, which took on the responsibility of providing assistance and caring for the stork chicks. The approximately two-month-old chicks are now at the Yerevan Zoo, appearing healthy, showing no signs of injury, and not refusing food, which specialists consider a positive outcome.
According to specialists at the Yerevan Zoo, the stork chicks will remain at the zoo until they are capable of flying independently.
