Flooding of a Resident's Orchard Due to Water Pipe Burst in Bazmabuyr

A resident of the Bazmabuyr community in the Aragatsotn Province is facing a dire situation due to a burst water pipe. For the past four days, their orchard has been inundated with drinking water.

At the request of the resident, we will not disclose their name; however, they mentioned in a conversation with an Auroranews.am reporter that a similar incident had occurred the previous week when employees of the "Veolia Water" company interrupted the water flow. Unfortunately, four days ago, another malfunction occurred in the same water pipe.

It is noteworthy that this water pipeline carries drinking water from the Nazrvan community to Ejmiatsin.

The resident reports that today the water flow has stopped, and emergency repair work is being carried out, but the continuous flow of water over the past four days may have damaged the fruit trees.

The spokesperson for the "Veolia Water" company, Murad Sargsyan, stated in a conversation with us that they worked all day yesterday to rectify the water pipe malfunction. Today, they expect it will take another 8 to 9 hours to resolve the issue.

"It's quite a complicated incident, and we hope that by tomorrow, the city of Ejmiatsin, which relies on this pipeline, will receive water in full capacity," Sargsyan emphasized, highlighting that water pipes across the country frequently suffer malfunctions due to wear and tear.
