Children's Protest to Prevent Playground from Turning into Carports
A tense situation has arisen in Nor Geghi, Kotayk Marz today. Residents of the Students’ 8th building, which serves as a dormitory, awakened to the sounds of heavy machinery in their yard this morning.
According to Shamshyan.com, residents were perplexed upon learning that several individuals who entered the yard informed them that they would be constructing 12 carports there on legal grounds.
The residents stated that the yard serves as a playground for children and urged Minister of Territorial Administration Suren Papikyan to take control of the situation.
The children gathered in the yard continuously chanted, “We want a playground,” and “We want a football field.” Residents have said that if the issue is not resolved, they will be forced to hold protests similar to those carried out by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan a year ago, as they believe this approach will help resolve the problem.
