House Arrest Imposed on Russian Entrepreneur Albert Khudoyan
The Tverskoy Court of Moscow has imposed house arrest on Albert Khudoyan, the former owner of the "Optima" tobacco supply company, who is accused of large-scale fraud.
According to Life.ru, this measure has been imposed for a duration of two months. The businessman asserts his innocence and claims that the initiation of his arrest was ordered by a former member of the State Duma.
It was previously reported that Khudoyan faces charges related to the embezzlement of three plots of land from one of the companies involved. The estimated damage is assessed at $10 million.
