The Director of the New State Structure for Garbage Collection in Yerevan Will Receive 850,000 Dram
The Yerevan City Council has approved the plan for the organizational structure, workforce, job classifications, and salary scales of the community organization "Yerevan Garbage Collection and Sanitary Cleaning" during its meeting today.
According to the plan, this organization responsible for garbage collection in Yerevan will have four divisions: financial, sanitation management and coordination, waste management and coordination, and auto-collection.
The "Yerevan Garbage Collection and Sanitary Cleaning" community organization will employ a total of 424 people, and its budget will amount to 96 million dram. Notably, the salaries set for the staff are also significant.
Specifically, the director will receive a salary of 850,000 dram, while the deputy director and the chief accountant will earn 650,000 dram. The minimum wage within the organization will be 200,000 dram.
The plan was presented by Deputy Mayor Hayk Sargsyan, who noted that yes, the director's salary exceeds that of the Mayor of Yerevan. "High salaries are the basis and guarantee that will allow for waste collection operations to be carried out much better than by private companies," he stated.
Mayor Hayk Marutyan also added that more money is currently being spent on waste collection than will be spent with the higher salary fund of this organization, indicating that expenses on the budget will decrease.
