The Judge Reviewing the Prosecutor's Appeals Against Kocharyan's Release is Revealed
Prosecutorial appeals in the case of Armenia's second president Robert Kocharyan have been assigned to Judge Armen Danielyan of the Court of Appeals. This information was confirmed in an interview with the Chief Prosecutor's Office.
The appeals concern the prosecutor's objections to the first instance court's decisions regarding the change of Kocharyan's detention to a personal guarantee, the suspension of the proceedings concerning him and others, and the appeal to the Constitutional Court.
It is noteworthy that on May 18, Judge Davit Grigoryan of the Yerevan General Court had decided to release Kocharyan from detention based on the personal guarantees of former and current Presidents of the Republic of Artsakh Arkadi Ghukasian and Bako Sahakyan.
