Co-Chairs Have Suggested Specific Steps to the Parties: Ashotyan

It has become clear that the co-chairs have proposed specific subsequent steps to the parties for resolving the issue, including humanitarian and security measures. This was stated by the Vice President of the Republican Party of Armenia, Armen Ashotyan, on his Facebook page.

“The co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group have issued a statement following their latest regional visit.

It is noteworthy that the main purpose of the visit mentioned in the statement is to follow up on the discussions held between Pashinyan and Aliyev on March 29, as well as among the foreign ministers on April 15, and to get acquainted with the situation at the border and on the contact line.

By the way, this statement further buries the agreements made in Vienna, St. Petersburg, and Geneva, none of which have been referenced in Armenia since the change of government, including in today’s text.

It turns out that the co-chairs have offered specific next steps to the parties for resolving the issue, including humanitarian and security measures.

I hope that the Armenian public will hear about the new proposals from the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group through the statements of Armenian officials, in full and on time,” he wrote.
