Companies Engaged in Vehicle Technical Inspection Return 825.5 Million Drams to the State

Active investigative and procedural actions are underway in the territorial subdivisions of the Investigative Committee of Armenia regarding cases of apparent violations committed by companies engaged in the technical inspection of vehicles. The aim is to clarify all circumstances and restore the damage caused to the state. To date, a total of 825,679,568 AMD has been recovered from the damage caused to the state.

As previously reported, several companies operating in various regions of the republic and in the administrative districts of the capital have conducted mandatory technical inspections of vehicles based on the relevant license obtained from the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technologies of Armenia. During these inspections, apparent violations occurred, causing significant damage to the state.

In connection with these cases, a total of 26 criminal cases have been initiated under Article 178, Part 3, Clause 1 of the Criminal Code of Armenia. Seven individuals have been involved as defendants, and a restraint measure in the form of a signature not to leave has been applied.

After recovering the damage caused to the state, 11 criminal cases have been closed on the basis of having no justification, active remorse, and the restoration of the damage caused to the state. One criminal case has been merged.

A total of 825,679,568 AMD has been recovered from the damage caused to the state so far.
