57-Year-Old Man with Four Prior Convictions Accused of Kidnapping 11-Year-Old Girl

A 57-year-old resident of Lori is accused of kidnapping an 11-year-old girl from the village of Chkalov.

According to "Factinfo," the girl is the daughter of the man's ex-wife. Preliminary investigation suggests that the man intended to rekindle his marital relationship with his former wife and, on the night of March 1, 2018, around 3 AM, went to her home while under the influence of alcohol.

The woman was not at home, and the man forcibly took her underage daughter to his own residence against her will, hoping to compel the girl’s mother to return to him.

The 57-year-old man, who has been convicted four times previously, has been charged under the fourth point of the second part of Article 131 of the Republic of Armenia's Criminal Code.
