The Lexus of a Brutally Murdered Man Found in Etchmiadzin

On April 13, a serious traffic accident occurred in the Tavush region. At approximately 21:30, the Emergency Situations Ministry's 911 operational management center received a call reporting that a Lexus vehicle with transit number 8800 GL had left the roadway on the 83rd km of the Yerevan-Sevan-Ijevan highway, crashed into an iron fence, and overturned approximately 30 meters before colliding with a tree at the beginning of the 4th turn.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan from the scene, the Dilijan fire-rescue team No. 63 and the 2nd company of the traffic police’s 4th battalion were promptly dispatched under the command of squad leader Karen Abazyan.

The photojournalist reports that two individuals from the accident site, whose identities are not disclosed due to the investigation's interests, were transferred to the Dilijan medical center. Abazyan managed to determine at the scene that the transit license plates on the Lexus were fake, and the real license plates were 15 DD 999. According to the photojournalist, hours prior, the owner of the mentioned vehicle was found murdered with extreme brutality by the police in Vagharshapat in his apartment in the city of Etchmiadzin.

The photojournalist states that if the squad leader had not effectively directed the actions of the Dilijan rescuers and traffic police, and if they had not acted timely to assist the injured, those who had departed the vehicle on their own might have left the scene, and law enforcement would have been confronted with the facts. However, in this case, the traffic police and rescuers not only acted expediently but also took control of the injured alongside the already arrived personnel from the Dilijan police department.
