The 'Hayastan' Foundation's Telethon May Not Take Place This Year
According to 'Zhamanak' reports, the annual telethon for the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund may not take place this year at all.
The newspaper writes, 'The operations of the Fund's largest Los Angeles office are effectively paralyzed, as several key employees have submitted resignation requests, unwilling to work with the new government. For this reason, the preparations for the telethon are not being carried out.'
There is a feeling that the new authorities of Armenia have decided to abandon the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund, emphasizing instead the 'My Step' and 'City of Smiles' foundations.
Although Anna Hakobyan's visit to the United States showed that trust in these foundations is not particularly high; the promised funding is around $1 million, but in reality, significantly less will be raised.'
