Protest Action in Front of the Zoo

A group of employees from the Yerevan Zoo is once again holding a protest action. This time, the reason for the protest is the incorrect diagnosis of a white tiger's illness. A group of doctors invited from Amsterdam, Moscow, and Iran diagnosed one of the zoo's tigers with leukemia.

“That diagnosis is clearly a result of ignorance. There were many obscurities in that diagnosis. The chief veterinarian from the Moscow Zoo denied the leukemia diagnosis. From this, it can be concluded that erroneous analyses have been received due to collaboration with Amsterdam and European zoos,” said one of the former employees of the Zoo, highlighting that it remains unclear whether the tumor found in the animal is malignant or benign.

The protesters claim that the zoo management is deliberately leading the zoo to ruin.

They are once again demanding the resignation of the zoo director and several employees, including the chief veterinarian.
