Military Personnel Transporting ZIL Involved in Accident, Injuries Reported

A major car accident occurred in the Syunik region shortly ago. Under still unclear circumstances, a ZIL vehicle bearing the registration of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia overturned while driving along the road segment from Megrine town towards the Nakhichivan border, specifically in the administrative area known as "Apricot Gorge" near Megrine.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, as a result of the accident, 10 individuals have sustained injuries, primarily fractures, and have been transferred to the Megrine medical center. At this moment, operational teams from the Military Police of the Armenian Ministry of Defense, the 6th platoon of the 2nd traffic police battalion, the Syunik rescue department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, and the operational group of the Megrine police department are arriving at the scene.

According to the photojournalist's sources, the lives of those injured are not in danger and personnel from the N military unit of the Ministry of Defense and doctors from the Megrine hospital have acted swiftly. Currently, efforts are underway to identify the injured individuals and the driver.
