Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry Responds to Pashinyan's Proposal in Strasbourg

Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry has responded to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's statement made during his speech in Strasbourg, where he called on Azerbaijan to refrain from using warlike rhetoric and threats.

According to the Trend agency, the Azerbaijani foreign ministry advised Pashinyan to familiarize himself with the Helsinki Final Act of the OSCE from 1975, particularly the principle of "refraining from the use of force and the threat of force."

The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry reiterated its demand for the withdrawal of Armenian armed forces from Nagorno-Karabakh, citing the need for ensuring security in the region.

It is reminded that during a joint press conference with Council of Europe President Thorbjørn Jagland today, Pashinyan stated that Yerevan is proposing to Baku to abandon the "language of threats" and expressed hope that the Azerbaijani side will heed this call.
