Alexander Sargsyan in Europe Due to Health Issues, Lawyer Says

The brother of Armenia's third president Serge Sargsyan, Alexander Sargsyan, has not traveled to Europe for vacation but rather due to health problems. This was stated by Alexander Sargsyan's lawyer, Mihran Poghosyan, in an interview with NEWS.am.

According to him, today in court, Alexander Sargsyan's son, Haik Sargsyan, responded to a journalist's question by saying that Alexander Sargsyan went to rest because he did not want to publicize his father's health issues.

It should be noted that Alexander Sargsyan is accused of large-scale fraud.

As a preventive measure, he was previously ordered to sign a pledge not to leave the country. However, in March 2019, it became known that the investigator handling the case had allowed Sargsyan to leave the territory of Armenia.
