Italy's Parliament Recognizes the Armenian Genocide

Italy's Parliament has approved a resolution recognizing the Armenian Genocide with 382 votes in favor out of a total of 432 members. This was reported by the Asbarez news agency, citing philanthropist and public figure Alekko Peziqyan.

The aim of the resolution is to "officially recognize the Armenian Genocide and achieve its international recognition."

This decision has sparked anger from Turkey, leading to the summoning of the Italian ambassador by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
