It Is Known Against Which Relative of Pashinyan a Criminal Case Has Been Launched
Yesterday evening, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan issued a statement: "I do not want to give the impression of being a masochist, but I want to inform you that at my direct instruction, a criminal case has been initiated regarding the alleged malfeasance committed by one of my close relatives."
"There is no doubt that this case will be thoroughly examined, and those guilty will face accountability as provided by law. This is a new Armenia, and no close relative of the Prime Minister can be above the law or be privileged," the Prime Minister stated. He did not specify who his relative is. Law enforcement agencies have not issued any official statements either.
However, according to ArmLur.am, the case pertains to Nikol Pashinyan's cousin, Mamikon Hovhannisyan, who is serving as the Deputy Director of the Dilijan National Park, and the criminal case has been launched against him.
The media outlet reports that more details will be known shortly.
