Employees of Spayka Stage Protest

Employees of the Spayka company have gathered in front of the newly opened Sambil cheese factory. They are showing support for Spayka's director, Davit Ghazaryan, who faces allegations.

In a conversation with journalists, Ghazaryan expressed that he was taken aback by the actions of the Investigative Department of the State Revenue Committee (SRC) and the revelation of a substantial tax evasion case within the company.

“I was caught off guard yesterday and was in shock,” said Ghazaryan during a meeting with journalists today, adding that, “I was summoned by the SRC, and they immediately presented a large volume of a detention request.”

Ghazaryan also mentioned that the company had paid over 3 billion drams in taxes in 2018.

It is worth noting that the SRC's press service had reported that from 2015 to 2016, the activities of Spayka caused approximately 7 billion drams in damage to the state.
