Despite Pashinyan's Threats, Many Gas Stations Continue to Operate Under Old Regime

According to the newspaper "Zhamanak," despite Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's physical threats, numerous gas stations in Armenia continue to operate under the old regime—selling gas by volume rather than by weight.

The issue is that gas stations purchase gas from "Gazprom Armenia" by volume and now are uncertain of how much it would cost them should the gas be converted to weight, especially since "Gazprom Armenia" changes the gas density, which in turn alters the weight.

“The Prime Minister probably fears speaking to Gazprom in such a manner, which is why he views us as a weak link,” said the owner of one gas station.
