66 Georgian Citizens Arrested in Barcelona

In Barcelona, Georgian and Spanish law enforcement have arrested 66 citizens of Georgia, with 25 charged for theft and 41 for violations of immigration regulations.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, a large-scale special operation named "Merlin Taka" was conducted in Barcelona on April 4, involving 250 law enforcement officers.

As a result of the operation, over 100 citizens of various countries were arrested. The special operation took place in a building of one of Barcelona's schools, part of which had been illegally occupied by members of a criminal group.
