Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs Alerts About Bribery Cases

The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of the Republic of Armenia has applied to the Prosecutor's Office, requesting an investigation into the applications of two citizens who reported being asked for bribes. This information was provided by the Ministry's press service.

Both applications addressed to the ministry concern the unethical behavior exhibited by inspectors of the No. 1 Territorial Department of Social Assistance in Gyumri.

According to the applicants, the inspectors demanded two months' worth of benefits in exchange for assigning social aid to the citizens. Moreover, one of the applications includes the name of one of the inspectors.

The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs will systematically process all similar alerts as stipulated by law, aiming to eliminate corruption risks in the sector and protect citizens' rights.
