Accident on the Margara-Vanadzor-Tashir Highway: Cause is Gravel Road

A significant car accident occurred in the Aragatsotn province today. Around 08:20, Ara Matevosyan, a 24-year-old resident of Armavir province, lost control of his Mercedes ML vehicle on the 80th kilometer of the Margara-Vanadzor-Tashir highway, within the administrative territory of the village of Rya Taza, crashing into rock debris.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamsyan, as a result of the accident, a passenger in the vehicle, 27-year-old Yelena Sakanian, a resident of Stepanavan, was hospitalized with bodily injuries at the Aparan medical center. The photojournalist reports that the road was passable, but the main cause of the accident was the gravel road.
