Yerevan to Have Europe Square

On March 19, the Yerevan City Council decided to rename one of the interim sections of Northern Avenue in the Central administrative district to Europe Square. The proposal was presented by Armine Vardanyan, head of the organizational department of the Yerevan municipality.

According to her, the opening of the square is dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the Council of Europe and is intended to coincide with the visit of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe’s leader, Liliane Maury Pasquier, to Yerevan.
