The Ministry Decides to Eliminate the Requirement for the Issuance of Technical Inspection Certificates: "Zhoghovurd"
According to "Zhoghovurd" newspaper, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technologies of the Republic of Armenia proposes to eliminate the requirement for the issuance of technical inspection certificates. Instead, oversight will be conducted through an electronic database and diagnostic cards.
To regulate issues and enhance oversight over the technical inspection process, the ministry has developed a bill and put it up for discussion.
As reported by the newspaper, the ministry suggests that the requirement for the issuance of technical inspection certificates be removed, with oversight to be conducted through an electronic database and diagnostic cards. According to the ministry, the technical inspection diagnostic card contains necessary information regarding the vehicle, technical inspection, as well as details about the location, date, and time of the re-inspection, and whether the vehicle is deemed technically sound or if defects have been identified.
