Tense Situation at Arabkir Medical Center: Parents of 6-Month-Old Besiege Hospital
For several days now, residents of Masis in the Ararat region, 26-year-old Grigor Danielyan and 22-year-old Tatevik Danielyan, have been spending their days outside the Arabkir Medical Center in Yerevan.
According to Shamshyan.com, on March 4, their child, who had a slight cold, was referred by the local pediatrician for admission to the Arabkir Medical Center for precautionary measures.
The parents took the child to the hospital and have been waiting daily for doctors to clearly state that their child has recovered.
In an interview with a photojournalist, the child's mother said, “We transferred our healthy child here for precautionary measures. Our local pediatrician, after examining the child's lungs, mentioned that there were slight crackles, so we brought her to the hospital on the 4th. The child was placed in a ward with more than 10 other children. For 10 days, we were assured that the child had no health issues, and only after we raised our voices was the child moved to the intensive care unit, where they later informed us that the tests had revealed she developed bilateral pneumonia. We are convinced that our 6-month-old child was brought here with a slight cold and that due to their negligence, she developed bilateral pneumonia. We demand that the Minister of Health follow up and investigate why this happened. We strongly believe that our healthy and robust child, whom we had thoroughly examined before bringing to the hospital, was suddenly transferred to intensive care following our outcry, and subsequently, they admitted that she developed bilateral pneumonia.”
