Former Deputy Minister of Health Vahan Poghosyan Released on Bail

The general jurisdiction court of Kotayk province has released former Deputy Minister of Health Vahan Poghosyan on a bail of 5 million drams. This was reported to NEWS.am by the head of the media department of the Investigative Committee, Naira Harutyunyan.

"The investigator had submitted a petition to the court regarding the selection of a detention measure against him, but the court released Poghosyan on a bail of 5 million drams," she said.

It is noteworthy that Poghosyan has been charged under the second part of Article 308 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia, which pertains to the abuse of official authority, resulting in severe consequences through negligence.
