254 kg of Acrylic Lacquer Discovered in Vehicle Hideout at Bagratashen Customs

The employees of the Eastern Customs Administration of the State Revenue Committee have inspected a vehicle belonging to citizen V.A., which arrived from Georgia at the Bagratashen customs checkpoint.

According to the SRC, although the passengers claimed that there were no goods subject to declaration in the vehicle, during a visual inspection, acrylic covers intended for vehicles were discovered under the front seat of the transport.

Suspecting that there could be other goods hidden from customs control, the vehicle was sent for a thorough inspection where a total of 254 kg of acrylic lacquers and hardeners were found in the cargo area, the compartment for the spare tire, under the engine cover, and inside the control panel.

An official report has been drawn up regarding the violation of customs regulations, and the materials have been sent to the relevant division of the SRC for further action.
