Police Uncover Tractor Theft Case from 27 Years Ago
The Armenian police have revealed that the individual responsible for the theft of a tractor in the Sanahin neighborhood of Alaverdi city 27 years ago was a man born in 1967, who lived in the village of Arjish in the Tavush region and had died several years ago. This information comes from the public relations and media department of the Armenian Police.
The statement mentions: “In April 1992, personal property was stolen in the Sanahin neighborhood of Alaverdi city. The stolen item was a tractor. A criminal case was initiated at the Tumanyan division of internal affairs regarding the incident. As a result of operational investigative measures, it was determined that the stolen tractor had been sold for 55,000 rubles to a resident of the village of Lorut just days after the theft, in May 1992. Subsequent measures revealed that the person who sold the tractor was not the thief but was aware that the tractor was stolen.”
Through diligent investigative efforts and legal actions, law enforcement officials recently gathered sufficient evidence to establish numerous circumstances surrounding the case, thereby resolving a 27-year-old theft.
It has been confirmed that the tractor was stolen by the man born in 1967, who lived in the village of Arjish and had died years ago.
Of course, in legal terms, the principle of statute of limitations applies here as well; however, the resolution of any crime, regardless of the time elapsed or deadlines, is important for a complete evaluation of the act and for the inevitability of punishment, even if only morally.
