Current Road Conditions: Updated
The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that as of February 19 at 08:20, there are closed and difficult-to-navigate roads in the territory of Armenia.
The Vardenyats Pass is closed to all types of vehicles.
The inter-community roads of the villages of Nigavan, Lusakugh, Saralanj, Vardenis, Chknagh, Ttujur, and Dzoraglukh in the Aragatston region are closed.
The Sotk-Karvachar road, as well as the inter-community roads of the villages of Melikgagh, Shenkani, Avshen, and Mirak in the Aragatsotn region are difficult to traverse.
There are patches of black ice on the Gyumri-Ashotsk road in Shirak province.
Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.
About Lars
According to the information received from the Road Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is closed for heavy trucks.
According to the information from the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Republic of North Ossetia, there are 52 heavy trucks stranded on the Russian side.
Construction Works Ongoing
Construction work is being carried out on the stretch of road from kilometer 39 of the Vanadzor-Alaverdi road to Bagratashen.
The following alternative routes for transport have been established:
- For local transport to the cities of Alaverdi and Vanadzor, take the routes: Vanadzor-Stepanavan-Agarak-Koghes-Aygehart-Odzun-Alaverdi via Georgia's border.

From June 30, 2018, until February 19 of this year, construction work is being conducted on kilometer 139 of the Yerevan-Meghri road, causing a 200-meter section to be unidirectionally closed.
