Should society be thankful that in communities, Pashinyan's 'scarf holders and selfie sticks' are not appointed as leaders: Ashotyan

During a press briefing in the National Assembly today, Lena Nazaryan stated that if the authorities wanted, they could win in all 24 communities in the local elections with their candidates. This was noted on Facebook by the spokesperson of the Republican Party of Armenia, Armen Ashotyan, who added:

“In fact, in previous local elections, candidates from the ruling party have regularly lost as well. That’s not the issue.

The issue is that Mrs. Nazaryan openly admits that the key to winning any election is not the desires of the people, but rather their government’s decision to ensure that their candidates are elected at all costs, whether or not the elections are held. It is interesting: If Nikol Pashinyan decided that his candidates should win, what methods and methodologies would he employ to secure that victory?

I’ll tell you: Just as they secured astronomical figures for their unknown and unqualified candidates in the parliamentary elections, using all administrative resources and counter-propaganda, deploying their favorite toolkit of information terror just like they did against the Republicans in the parliamentary elections.

And now they expect society to be thankful that at least in communities, Pashinyan’s next 'scarf holders and selfie sticks' are not appointed as leaders. Accept this self-confession from Mrs. Nazaryan.”
