Saakashvili Submits DNA Test to Determine Ethnic Origin

Former President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili has submitted a DNA test to determine what nationality flows through his veins.

The former official stated on his Facebook page that he is keen to find out about his ancestors' ethnic background. According to Saakashvili, such tests are quite popular in the United States, which is why he decided to take the test as well.

"It turns out that I do not have a single drop of non-Georgian blood," he announced.

At the same time, Saakashvili admitted that there is 1 percent Greek blood running through him, but he is "99 percent Georgian."
