Change in the Descriptive Part of Charges Against Gevorgyan
Former Deputy Prime Minister Armen Gevorgyan has had changes made in the descriptive part of two of the charges against him. This was reported to NEWS.am by Gevorgyan's lawyer, Erik Aleksanyan.
He noted that the changes concern the alleged actions attributed to his client related to assisting in the overthrow of the constitutional order of the Republic of Armenia and receiving a particularly large bribe.
He also stated that the change does not lead to a modification of the legal assessment of the acts, meaning that the charges brought against Gevorgyan have not changed.
It is reminded that Armen Gevorgyan is charged under part 1 of Article 38-300.1, part 4, clause 2 of Article 311, and part 3, clause 1 of Article 190 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia for assisting in the overthrow of the constitutional order, receiving a particularly large bribe, and legalizing property acquired through crime.
