Driver Hits Mother and Her 3-Year-Old Son; Presents Himself as Assistant to Minister of Diaspora in Hospital
According to SHAMSHYAN.com, investigators from the Road Police's Division for Traffic Accident Investigation and Administrative Proceedings are preparing materials regarding a hit-and-run incident that occurred on February 10 in Yerevan.
Around 1:00 PM, a 26-year-old resident of Yerevan, Gor Aleksanyan, while driving his Nissan X-Trail vehicle with license plate number 35 TN 581, struck 41-year-old Kristine Zalinyan and her 3-year-old son R.Z. at the intersection of Moldovan and Totovents streets.
Photographer Gagik Shamshyan reports that the driver did not flee the scene and assisted in transporting the injured individuals to the Surb Grigor Lusavorich Medical Center. Officers from the Yerevan Road Police and a rescue team from the Ministry of Emergency Situations arrived at the scene. By the investigator's order, the vehicle has been moved to a secured area of the Yerevan Road Police.
According to G. Shamshyan, the driver Gor Aleksanyan stated in the hospital that he works as an assistant to the Minister of Diaspora of Armenia. It has been reported that the victims are a mother and her son.
