Stunt-Related Car Accident in Abovyan
Today, February 1st, a major car accident occurred in the Kotayk region. At approximately 22:20, a 22-year-old resident of Abovyan, Vano Ohanyan, driving an Opel vehicle with the license plate 35 PC 279, lost control on Hatishi Street in Abovyan, crashed into basalt stones, then into an iron advertising column, and finally overturned multiple times, colliding with a tree.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, as a result of the accident, one person was taken to the Abovyan medical center with bodily injuries, and after receiving first aid, he was transferred to the St. Gregory the Illuminator Medical Center.
Emergency responders disconnected the vehicle's electrical system, sealed the gas cylinder, and secured the area. The investigative work at the scene was led by senior investigator Vahe Harutyunyan of the 3rd platoon of the 2nd traffic police division, who is preparing materials regarding the incident. By the investigator's order, the vehicle was moved to the special storage area of the Kotayk police department.
The photojournalist reports that several individuals at the scene, who preferred not to speak on camera, claimed that the person presenting himself as the driver was actually not, and a young man, who is an employee of the police's rapid response unit, was trying to mislead law enforcement with his limited intelligence.
