Roads Closed and Difficult to Navigate in Armenia
The Ministry of Emergency Situations has announced that as of February 1 at 22:30, there are roads closed and difficult to navigate in the territory of Armenia.
The Vardenyats Pass is difficult for light vehicles and closed for heavy trucks.
The Sotk-Karvachar road is also difficult to navigate.
There is black ice present in certain sections of the Sotk-Karvachar, Aparan-Kuchak, and Aparan-Alagyaz roads, as well as in the regions of Amasya and Ashtarak in Shirak Province.
Snow is falling in the regions of Talin, Ararat, and Aparan in Aragatsotn Province and in Shirak Province.
There is a snowstorm in the village of Alagyaz in Aragatsotn Province.
Drivers are advised to travel exclusively on winter tires.
Regarding Lars:
According to the information received from the Department of Roads of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, the Stepanstminda-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles.
According to the information received from the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Republic of North Ossetia, there are cargo trucks accumulated on the Russian side.
