Emergency Incident in Yerevan: 4 Students from M. Abelyan School Admitted to Hospital with Injuries
Shamshyan.com reports that on January 22, an emergency incident occurred in Yerevan. Around 14:40, a call was received at the Central Police Department from the number 1 university hospital, stating that several children had been transported there with bodily injuries.
According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, an operational group from the Central Police Department, headed by the head of the juvenile affairs division, Harutyunyan, was dispatched to the hospital. The police established that the injured individuals were 17-year-old Davit V. from Yerevan, diagnosed with "scratches on the upper part of the right ear"; 16-year-old Davit T. with a "lacerated wound on the right temporal area"; 17-year-old Robert A. diagnosed with a "lacerated bleeding wound on the left forearm and subcutaneous hematoma"; and 17-year-old Artashes S. with a "lacerated wound on the top of the head and contusion".
Officers from the Central Police Department, under the leadership of the department head Arman Papyan, took necessary measures and determined that the aforementioned individuals had been involved in a dispute with three other Yerevan residents—18-year-old Vahagn K., 18-year-old Zhirayr P., and 19-year-old Razmik G.—around 13:30 on the same day on Chaikovsky Street, during which mutual blows were exchanged, resulting in bodily injuries.
Materials prepared regarding the incident have been transferred to the investigative division of the Central Police Department. According to G. Shamshyan's information, the four children transported to the hospital are students at the M. Abelyan School.
