Black Ice Present on Some Roads in Armenia

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that as of 08:30 on January 23, there are impassable and closed roads throughout Armenia.

The Vardenyats Pass is closed only for vehicles with trailers.

Black ice is present in some areas on the Sotk-Karaberd road, as well as on roads in the Ashotsk and Amasia regions of Shirak Province, and throughout Syunik Province.

Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.

According to information from the Road Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, the Stepanstminda-Larsi road is open for all types of vehicles.
