Passenger Who Changed Flight Route from Surgut to Moscow Arrested
A passenger who changed the flight route from Surgut to Moscow has already been arrested. This was reported by TASS news agency.
"The suspect has been arrested. According to preliminary information, no one was injured at the time of the arrest," said a source from the news outlet.
Recall that it was earlier reported that one of the passengers on the flight demanded the plane to fly to Afghanistan.
The aircraft had taken off from Surgut Airport and was heading to Moscow's Sheremetyevo Airport at 14:55 local time. An hour later, it disappeared from the FlightRadar24 website's map; the aircraft's identifier had turned red halfway through the flight, indicating that the plane had reached its maximum altitude.
Earlier, Ren TV reported that one of the passengers was armed and demanded a change in the flight route.
