Trump Threatens Turkey with Economic Sanctions

The United States is beginning the withdrawal of its troops from Syria. This was announced by U.S. President Donald Trump on his Twitter account, threatening Turkey with economic sanctions in the event of an attack on Syrian Kurds.

“We are starting the long-awaited process of withdrawing American troops from Syria, while simultaneously hitting the Islamic State group from various fronts. If it raises its head again, we will strike again from the military base located in that area. We will economically devastate Turkey if it decides to attack the Kurds,” Trump wrote.
