10 Million USD Investment Program and 750 Jobs in Kotayk Region

Kotayk Governor Romanos Petrosyan has announced on his Facebook page that an investment program of around 10 million USD will be implemented in the Kotayk region.

“During my six months as Governor of Kotayk, I have held numerous meetings with investors, either at my invitation or at their initiative. The goal is to implement large-scale investments in our region with programs rich in innovative solutions and modern offerings.

I have consistently expressed my willingness to support their realization for the benefit of the balanced development of the region and, of course, the creation of jobs.

I approved the project for the creation of a health and hotel complex in the village of Hankavan, considering it one of the best in terms of the number of jobs, the minimum wage threshold, and other programmatic points.

It is planned to invest about 10 million USD for the construction of the complex distributed over the years as follows:
2019 – 3 million USD,
2020 – 3 million USD,
2021 – 4 million USD.

According to the 2019 program, it is expected to create 180-200 direct jobs, while the number of indirect jobs will reach 750 by 2021. Currently, the budgeting and project work, as well as the land allocation processes, have already begun.

We have around two dozen investment projects at various stages of negotiation, which will ensure significant positive shifts and the influx of new resources in the region,” he wrote.
