Request to Extend Robert Kocharian's Detention

The Special Investigation Service has submitted a request to the court to extend the detention period of Armenia's second president, Robert Kocharian, for another two months, said Marina Ohanyan, the spokesperson for the SIS, in an interview with Aysor.am.

It is not yet known which judge will be handling the request submitted by the law enforcement agency.

At the same time, the Special Investigation Service has not commented on the request filed by Kocharian's defense team to terminate the criminal proceedings against their client.
