Narek Gururyan is with Russian law enforcement: Armenia's ambassador to Russia

Narek Gururyan, a suspect in the brawl that took place in Karaganda, is currently with Russian law enforcement authorities. Armenia's Ambassador to the Russian Federation, Vardan Toghanian, stated in an interview with SHANTNEWS.am that they are currently dealing with this matter.

“He is with law enforcement, the process is ongoing, but there is still no information,” he said.

Toghanian noted that there are no specific timelines for Gururyan's extradition to Kazakhstan.

“This happened yesterday, we are in contact with law enforcement, and I know our colleagues are also dealing with this in Kazakhstan. There is no further information at this time,” the ambassador mentioned.

He stated that they must also be present during Gururyan's extradition to Kazakhstan.

“This is a long legal process, and we are monitoring the situation,” he said.

It should be noted that Kazakh media reported that Narek, who was wanted in connection with the brawl in Karaganda, had fled to Russia, where he was located and detained, while Gururyan had sent a message days earlier indicating that he was ready to surrender.
